Morocco’s Olympic squad bested the French FC Villefranche Beaujolais 2-1, in a preparatory game ahead of the men’s soccer tournament of the Olympic Games, on Thursday in Villefranche on the outskirts of Lyon.
Abdessamad Ezzelzouli, Real Betis player, scored the first goal for the national squad (64th), while Havre AC striker Yassine Kechta scored the second two minutes later.
The 16-team Men’s Olympic Football Tournament will take place in Paris from July 24 to August 9. The national team will play in Group B alongside Argentina, Ukraine and Iraq.
For its first appearance at the Olympic Football Tournament, the national team will face Argentina on July 24 at the Geoffroy Guichard stadium in Saint-Étienne.
